NIH Common Fund Funding Opportunity Announcements

The NIH Common Fund was established by Congress in the 2006 NIH Reform Act to support cross-cutting, trans-NIH programs that require participation by at least two NIH Institutes or Centers or would otherwise benefit from strategic planning and coordination. In FY2010 the Common Fund budget was 1.8% of the NIH Budget Authority, $549.0 M.

On-going High Risk-High Reward research programs for scientists with exceptional creativity who propose highly innovative approaches to major contemporary challenges in biomedical research:
